Above we show a dramatic chart of Approaches to Grand Gulf, Miss. From a topographical & hydrographical survey by F. H. Gerdes, Assistant, assigned by A. D. Bache, Supdt, U.S. Coast Survey, to act under orders of Rear Admiral D. D. Porter, U.S. Navy, commanding Mississippi Squadron. It was taken in 1864.

Shows "Ft. Cobun," "Ft. Wade," streets of Grand Gulf, "R.R. to Port Gibson," plantation of "Col. Coffee,". "The entrenchments along the river by the rebels, and captured by the Mississippi Squadron, under the command of Admiral Porter, on May 3d 1863."
