Here for your browsing pleasure is a chart of Geographical history of the rail road regiment, 89th regiment of Illinois vols. infantry. 1862-1865 Platted and compiled from U.S. Coast Survey maps, by Isaac N. Merritt. Lithographed by Chas. Shober, Chicago. It was created S.l., 18--.

Map of Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia showing the operations of the 89th regiment of Illinois volunteers. Unit was first attached to the 6th Brigade, 2nd Division, Right Wing, Army of the Ohio and later to the 1st Brigade, 3rd Division, 4th Army Corps, Army of the Cumberland. Shows a "muster-in" and "muster-out" roster of officers, a "chronological record of engagements," a table of casualties and the names of officers wounded, and a brief history of the regiment.
