Here for your perusal is a collectible Map & profile of the Virginia & Tennessee Rail Road. Prepared by W. W. Blackford, asst. engr. It was created in 1856.

Map of Virginia between Lynchburg and Bristol, Tennessee, with rivers, coal and copper fields, county borders, cities, and roads. Chartered March 24, 1848, under the name of Lynchburg abd Tennessee Railroad. Merged in 1871 under Atlantic, Mississippi, and Ohio Railroad.

Includes "Table of curvatures," "Table of amounts," and "Elevation above the level of the sea of the rails.".
