Captured by the Army of West Miss. on the night of April 8 & 9, 1865. Major M. D. McAlester, Senior Engr., Major J. C. Palfrey, Asst. Engr., Capt. C. J. Allen, Asst. Engr., Capt. Patten, Inspector Genl's. Dept., Vol. Asst. Engr. Engraved in the Engineer Department. It was taken in 1866.
