Here for your perusal is a dramatic map of Battle of Spanish Fort; Siege operations at Spanish Fort, Mobile Bay, by the U.S. forces under Maj. Gen. Canby. Captured by the Army of West Miss. on the night of April 8 & 9, 1865. Major M. D. McAlester, Senior Engr., Major J. C. Palfrey, Asst. Engr., Capt. C. J. Allen, Asst. Engr., Capt. Patten, Inspector Genl's. Dept., Vol. Asst. Engr. Engraved in the Engineer Department. It was taken in 1866.
