You are looking at an old image of St. Helena Sound, South Carolina From a trigonometrical survey under the direction of A. D. Bache, Superintendent of the survey of the coast of the United States. Triangulation by C. O. Boutelle and C. P. Bolles, Assistants. Topography by John Seib, Assistant. Hydrography by the parties under the command of Lieut. Comdg. J. N. Maffitt, U.S.N. and C. O. Boutelle, Assists. It was made in 1864.
