You are looking at a Map illustrating the operations of the army under com'd of Maj. Gen. W.T. Sherman, in Georgia, from May 5th to September 4th, 1864 / compiled under the direction of Capt. O.M. Poe, Chief Eng'r, from maps and data furnished by the Eng'rs of the Armies of the Cumberland, Tennessee & Ohio ; and drawn by Lt. A.F. Brooks. It was taken in 1864.

Sherman, William T.

Shows Union and Confederate works in southeastern Tennessee and northwestern Georgia. Annotation in ink "Ezra Church" west of Atlanta. In manuscript pencil at lower left: "Federal lines in blue, Rebel lines in red."
