Here for your consideration is an absorbing chart of entrenched lines in the immediate front of Petersburg. It shows the area in 1864-1865. Surveyed under the direction of N. Michler, Major of Engrs., Bvt. Col. U.S.A. Prepared expressly for the guests of Jarratt's Hotel, Petersburg, Va. It was taken in 1865.
