You are looking at a rare image of Preliminary chart of Escambia and Santa Maria de Galvaez [i.e., East] Bays, Florida From a trigonometrical survey under the direction of A. D. Bache, Superintendent of the survey of the coast of the United States. Triangulation and topography by F. H. Gerdes, Asst. Hydrography by the party under the command of Lieut. Comdg. T. S. Phelps. U.S.N. Assist. It was made in 1861.
