Above we show an impressive image of Ecuador; Carta de la Provincia de Quito y de sus adjacentes / obra posthuma de Don Pedro Maldonado ; hecha sobre las observaciones astronomicas y geograficas de los academicos reales de las ciencias de Paris y de las guardias mar[inas?] de Cadiz y tambien de los RR. PP. Missioneros de Maynas ; gravé par Guill. Delahaye ; N. Guérard, fecit. It was created in 1750.

Relief shown pictorially and by hachures. "En que la costa desde la Boca de Esmeraldas hasta Tunaco con la Derrota de Quito al Marañon, por una senda de à pie de Baños à Canelos, y el curso de los Rios Bobonaca y Pastaca van delineados sobre las proprias demarcaciones del difunto autor." All sheets annotated in upper right margin with numbers crossed through: sheet 1: 48.1, 99.1, 100; sheet 2: 48.2, 99.2, 100; sheet 3: 48.3, 99.3, 100; sheet 4: 48.4, 99.4, 100. Includes notes within map border and ill. Scale ca. 1:840,000.
