Here we present an intriguing image of Military map no. 54, Prepared under direction of Captain P. C. Hains, U.S.A., Acting Chief, Engineer Deptartment of the Gulf. Drawn for Stone by Helmuth Holtz. It was made in 1864.

Overview of southern Alabama and West Florida, illustrating transportation routes of roads and railroads. Map also shows some towns, drainage paths, and a few names of residents along the Tensaw River. Map is incomplete; the bottom border is missing.
