Here for your perusal is a remarkable Alabama Railroad Map, with connections also the principal routes between New York and New Orleans. It includes a table showing distances between key locations. It was made Richmond, Virginia, in the 1850's.
The map includes the eastern states and Texas. Mexico and Cuba are shown only as outlines. Railroads and steamship routes are indicated on the map. Also shows some land grants and mining resources.
