Here for your consideration is an Isothermal chart of the region north of the 36th Parallel &c. &c. between the Atlantic & Pacific oceans; compiled under the direction of Isaac I. Stevens, Govnr. of Washington Territory. It was made in 1859.
Indicates "practicable railroad lines," and "proposed railroad lines.", from lower right legend. Both Summer and Winer isotherms are shown on the map.
