Map Used by General Sherman in his Georgia Campaign

Here for your perusal is the actual Map Used by General Sherman in his Georgia Campaign. The lower left legend reads, Map of Northern Georgia made under the direction of Captain W.E. Merrill, Chief Topl. Engr. from the Cherokee land maps and from information compiled by N. Finegan, draughtsman, from surveys of the Topl. Engrs., Army of the Cumbd., compiled by H. Riemann, draughtsman. It was created in 1864.

The little square shown at the bottom is from the reverse of the map, and reads, "W.T. Sherman, Maj. Gen. Map used by General Sherman in the campaign of 1864."
