The map is titled, "chart of Carte generale de l'Ocean Atlantique ou Occidental, dressee au Depot general des cartes, plans, et journaux de la marine, et publiee par ordre du Ministre pour le service des vaisseaux francais en 1786. It was created in Paris in 1792.
